Lusnak scores two as the Sudbury Wolves thrash Peterborough 9-2

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Patrik Lusnak scored a pair of goals as the Sudbury Wolves thumped the Peterborough Petes 9-2 in Ontario Hockey League play on Saturday night.

Kyle Tarini, J.K. Gill and Gerome Giudice had a goal and assist for the Wolves (13-13-1-2), who snapped a 10-game losing streak on the road. Sudbury led 5-0 after 20 minutes with three goals coming 1:29 apart. Justin Kurtz, Matt Dias, and Peter Hermenegildo also scored for the Wolves.

Ryan Spooner and Liam Heelis scored for the Petes (14-18-0-1), who pulled starting goalie Ryan Daniels after allowing three goals on 12 shots. Jason Missiaen stopped 15 of 21 shots.

Andrew Loverock made 36 saves for the win.
