Lusnak scores pair as Sudbury survives late surge by the Battalion @NHLdotcom

SUDBURY, Ont. - Patrik Lusnak's two goals provided much-needed insurance for the Sudbury Wolves, who survived a late comeback attempt by the Brampton Battalion to win 4-3 on Saturday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Lusnak's second goal at 8:57 of the second period put the Wolves up 4-0, but it turned out to be the game-winner as Brampton answered with three goals, including two in a 37-second span in the third period. The Battalion (2-6-0-0) also fired 16 shots in the final 20 minutes, but it couldn't overtake Sudbury (4-1-0-1).

Matt Dias and Eric O'Dell also scored for the Wolves. Jared Staal added two assists.

Cody Hodgson scored a pair and Matt Duchene had Brampton's other marker.

Alain Valiquette stopped 36 shots for Sudbury, while Patrick Killeen made 25 saves for the Battalion.
