Rangers' Lundqvist to start Game 2 against Penguins

PITTSBURGH --New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist will start against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference First Round series at Consol Energy Center on Saturday (3 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, TVA Sports).
Lundqvist sustained an injury to his right eye with 48.2 seconds remaining in the first period of Game 1 on Wednesday when the stick blade of New York defenseman Marc Staal penetrated Lundqvist's mask.

Rangers coach Alain Vigneault confirmed Lundqvist would start Saturday after Lundqvist reported no issues after practicing Friday.
"He's good to go," Vigneault said. "He went through practice yesterday. Came to our meetings last night, talked to our doctors. Got up this morning and everybody agreed that, pretty much, he was good to go."
Lundqvist said Friday he felt relieved his eye injury didn't seem as serious as it did initially. Teammates shared that sentiment, with forward J.T. Miller detailing Lundqvist's importance to the Rangers.
"He's our leader," Miller said. "We need him to be healthy … It was a scary moment. You definitely don't want to see that."
Lundqvist is 54-56 with a 2.22 goals-against average and .923 save percentage in 112 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
