Lundqvist has goal and an assist as Stars capture 4-2 victory over Sharks @NHL

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Joel Lundqvist had a goal and an assist as the Dallas Stars defeated San Jose 4-2 on Thursday night, their second win in three days over the Sharks.

Stu Barnes, Krys Barch and Jere Lehtinen also scored for the Sharks, who swept their two-game miniseries to pull to within three points of second-place San Jose in the Pacific Division race.

Marty Turco made 18 saves as the Sharks controlled San Jose's NHL-best power play for the second straight game. The Stars needed a last-minute tying goal in Tuesday night's shootout victory but had less trouble in the rematch after holding the Sharks scoreless in six power plays.

Mark Bell and captain Patrick Marleau scored for the Sharks, who are off to an embarrassing start on a four-game homestand before an eight-game road trip. San Jose has lost four of five for just the second time all season.
