Lukas Sedlak and Austin Madaisky power Falcons past IceCaps 5-3 @NHLdotcom

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Lukas Sedlak and Austin Madaisky both had a goal and an assist as the Springfield Falcons topped the St. John's IceCaps 5-3 on Wednesday in American Hockey League play.

Sedlak's goal late in the second period was the eventual winner, while Madaisky added some insurance in the third.

Kerby Rychel, Thomas Larkin and Ryan Craig also scored for Springfield (5-5-1). Oscar Dansk made 16 saves for the win.

Chase Balisy, Eric O'Dell and Brenden Kichton replied for St. John's (3-6-4), the minor-league affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets. Connor Hellebuyck stopped 33 shots for the IceCaps.

The Falcons went 2 for 8 on the power play while St. John's went 1 for 6 on the power play.
