Lucas Vantuch scores winner as Lethbridge edges the Hitmen 2-1 @NHL

CALGARY (CP) - Lucas Vantuch scored the game-winning goal at 12:20 of the third period on Wednesday as the Lethbridge Hurricanes edged the Calgary Hitmen 2-1.

After two scoreless periods, Freddie Pettersson scored for Calgary at 1:48 of the third to give the Hitmen a 1-0 lead. Zach Boychuk then converted a feed from Lethbridge teammate Mitch Fadden at 7:57 to tie the game before Vantuch, a former Hitmen forward, scored the winner. With the win, the Hurricanes improved to 28-15-2-3, while the Hitmen fell to 31-22-3-4.

Lethbridge netminder Justin Leclerc made 25 saves to record the win, while Hitmen netminder Dan Spence stopped 18 shots at the other end.
