Lucas Bloodoff scores twice to lead Rockets to 2-1 win over Cougars

KELOWNA, B.C. - Lucas Bloodoff scored twice for Kelowna as the Rockets defeated the Prince George Cougars 2-1 in Western Hockey League action on Tuesday night.

Kelowna (22-15-0-0) led 2-1 after 40 minutes following a scoreless first period. Rockets captain Colin Long added an assist for his team-leading 51st point of the season.

Justin Maylan replied for Prince George (14-24-0-1), which is now 0-4 against Kelowna this season. In four meetings, the Rockets have outscored the Cougars 23-7.

Rookie Adam Brown made 19 saves for the Rockets, who were playing their second game in as many days, having lost 3-2 in Vancouver on Monday. At the other end, Kevin Armstrong had a much busier night, turning aside 39 shots.
