Amadio, Roy sign with Kings

Forward, defenseman each was restricted free agent

Michael Amadio and Matt Roy each signed a two-year, $1.4 million contract with the Los Angeles Kings on Monday. Each contract has an annual average value of $700,000.

Each player was a restricted free agent.

Amadio had 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 43 games last season, his second in the NHL. Selected by the Kings in the third round (No. 90) in the 2014 NHL Draft, the 23-year-old forward has 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in 80 regular-season games and one assist in one Stanley Cup Playoff game.

Roy, who was selected by the Kings in the seventh round (No. 194) in the 2015 NHL Draft, had six points (two goals, four assists) in 25 games as a rookie last season. The 24-year-old defenseman also had 29 points (eight goals, 21 assists) in 45 games with Ontario of the American Hockey League.

Los Angeles also signed defenseman Daniel Brickley to a two-year, $1.4 million contract ($700,000 AAV) and forward Sheldon Rempal to a qualifying offer.
