LAK@MIN: Dumba beats the clock for overtime win

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Matt Dumba scored with 0.3 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Minnesota Wild their sixth straight win, 4-3 against the Los Angeles Kings at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday.

The defenseman took a pass from Mats Zuccarello in the slot and deked Kings goalie Cal Petersen.
"I had no clue how much time was on the clock," Dumba said. "I knew it was winding down. I think I saw like 24 seconds or something when we were down in our zone. I knew it was getting down there, but I had no real clue. Yeah, then you get swarmed by the fellas. That's a feeling that if anyone gets to experience [it], it's one of the best."
Kaapo Kahkonen made 25 saves to win his fifth consecutive start for Minnesota (12-6-0), which has its longest winning streak since a 12-game streak Dec. 4-29, 2016, the longest in its history.
"Everybody's chipping in," Wild forward Kevin Fiala said. "Six-game winning streak, so it's awesome. It's been awesome. It's been fun being around the rink and everybody's done a great job. All the lines are playing great, I feel like, all the defensemen, the goalies are awesome. Everybody's very happy, so we just have to keep rolling."
Drew Doughty and Adrian Kempe each had a goal and an assist, and Petersen made 38 saves for Los Angeles (9-7-4), which scored three straight goals to tie the game. Anze Kopitar had two assists.
"We were disappointed we got into that hole again, but the team stuck with it and clawed their way back in right to the last second," Kings coach Todd McLellan said after being swept in the back-to-back set, losing 3-1 here Friday. "It's a good sign for our group. It's not a good sign that we're falling behind right now. We've got some things ahead of us that we have to work on.
"In any case, we probably earned a point tonight and lost two, so [we] got what we likely deserve."

LAK@MIN: Bjugstad, Sturm team up to double lead

Joel Eriksson Ek gave the Wild a 1-0 lead at 14:17 of the first period. Nico Sturm made it 2-0 at the left post off a backhand feed from Nick Bjugstad at 17:25.
"I think we all knew that we had to be better than we were in the first period," Kempe said.
Kirill Kaprizov one-timed a loose puck in the right face-off circle to make it 3-0 at 1:22 of the second period. Doughty scored a power-play goal on a one-timer from the left face-off circle to cut it to 3-1 at 2:51.

LAK@MIN: Kaprizov one-times puck home to extend lead

Jared Spurgeon's power-play goal at 6:20 was overturned on a coach's challenge by Los Angeles when video review determined there was goaltender interference.
Austin Wagner scored on a breakaway to pull the Kings within 3-2 at 11:41.
Kempe tied it 3-3 on the power play at 17:15 of the third period.
"We felt we had good enough chances to win the game," Kempe said. "Obviously it still [stinks] that we lost, and I think we took over in the second and the third period and they had some bounces going their way. I think it [stinks] for us, but to get one point is all right."
NOTES: Dumba passed Brent Burns and Mikko Koivu for the most overtime goals in Wild history with six. … Kaprizov has three goals and five assists during a five-game point streak. Four of the rookie's six goals this season have come against the Kings.
