Quick

TORONTO -- Jonathan Quick isn't expected to return to the Los Angeles Kings net until next month, general manager Rob Blake said Tuesday.

"He's still a few weeks [away]," Blake said after NHL general managers met in Toronto. "I think he hopefully will start skating on his own within the next 10 days maybe, but that's still a [work in] progress. I would say December probably."
The Kings announced Oct. 31 that Quick had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee and would be out indefinitely.
Jack Campbell, who replaced Quick as the Kings' No. 1 goalie, had knee surgery Monday and will be out 4-6 weeks.
Injuries have limited Quick to four starts this season. He is 0-3-1 with a 4.55 goals-against average and .845 save percentage. He missed five games from Oct. 7-15 because of a lower-body injury he sustained during practice Oct. 6.
Peter Budaj was pulled from his first start of the season for the Kings after he allowed four goals on 19 shots in a 5-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. Cal Petersen, recalled from Ontario of the American Hockey League on Monday, made 15 saves in relief in his NHL debut.
