Wagner signs three-year contract with Kings

Forward will earn average of $1.133 million, could have become restricted free agent

Austin Wagner signed a three-year, $3.4 million contract with the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday. It has an average annual value of $1.133 million.

The 23-year-old forward could have become a restricted free agent after this season.
Wagner scored 11 points (six goals, five assists) in 65 games and led the Kings with 145 hits. He averaged 11:45 of ice time, up from 8:56 in 2018-19.
In two NHL seasons, Wagner has scored 32 points (18 goals, 14 assists) in 127 games, all with the Kings, who selected him in the fourth round (No. 99) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
