Lorentz and Gibson lead Kitchener Rangers to 4-2 win over London Knights @NHLdotcom

KITCHENER, Ont. - Zach Lorentz had two goals and John Gibson stopped 34 shots as the Kitchener Rangers beat the London Knights 4-2 on Tuesday in the lone Ontario Hockey League game of the night.

Lorentz and Eric Ming had third period goals for the Rangers (20-8-1), while Tobias Rieder scored into the empty net.

Kitchener recovered from Seth Griffith's power-play goal with 11.2 seconds left in the second period to give the Knights a 2-1 lead.

Radek Faksa had two assists for the Rangers, while Ming, Cory Genovese, Michael Catenacci and Ben Fanelli had one each.

Jared Knight also scored for London (22-6-1), ranked first overall in the Canadian Hockey League's weekly rankings. Olli Maata, Max Domi and Dane Fox had assists for the Knights.

Michael Houser was sharp in net for London, turning aside 37 of 41 shots.

The Rangers were 0-for-3 on the power play, while London scored once in three power-lay chances.

The Rangers collected 7,762 stuffed toys for disadvantaged and hospitalized children on its annual Teddy Bear Toss night.
