OTTAWA - Logan Couture scored with little more than a minute to play in regulation time Sunday and rookie Chris Perugini stopped all 41 shots he faced to lead the Ottawa 67's to a 1-0 Ontario Hockey League victory over the Owen Sound Attack Sunday afternoon.
On a 2-on-1 break, Couture beat Attack rookie netminder Tyler Beskoowany high to the short side at the 18:45 mark of the third to stop a three-game losing streak by the 67's (14-13-1-2) and to help Perugini to his first OHL shutout.
Perugini stopped three breakaways during the game, including two on Owen Sound's Chris MacKinnon.
"We had a lot of chances," Couture said. "I kind of felt I was going to get one. (Beskorowany) just cheated off his post a little and that spot was open. He played well, credit to him, but our goalie played better."
Beskorowany finished with 28 saves for the Attack (12-18-2-0), which lost for the second straight game.
It was the second time the Attack have been shut out in less than 24 hours. They lost to Belleville 6-0 on Saturday.
