Lockhart's overtime goal leads Thunderbirds to 4-3 win over Giants @NHLdotcom

KENT, Wash. - Luke Lockhart scored 2:26 into overtime to lift the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Giants in Western Hockey League action Sunday.

Vancouver scored twice with its goaltender pulled for an extra attacker to tie the game 3-3 at the end of regulation.

Neil Manning scored with 1:18 left to pull the Giants to within 3-2, and then J.T. Barnett tied the game with a short-handed goal with just under seven seconds remaining.

Prab Rai, playing his last game for the Thunderbirds, opened the scoring with his 41st goal of the season.

Charles Wells had a goal and an assist and Tyler Alos added a goal for the Thunderbirds.

Brendan Gallagher had the other goal for the Giants.

Seattle ended the season with a 19-41-12 record.

The Giants, winners of the B.C. Division, head into the playoffs with a 41-25-6 record. The Giants will play the Kamloops Blazers in the first round of the post-season.

Vancouver outshot Seattle 54-29 in the game, but Thunderbird goaltender Calvin Pickard made 51 saves.
