sidney crosby little penguins learn to play youth hockey

Registration begins on Tuesday, February 13 for Sidney Crosby's unique Little Penguins "Learn to Play Hockey" program.
It is the second of two sessions this season that will enable 2,000 local youngsters aged 4-9 to receive FREE head-to-toe hockey equipment and learn the basics of the game at participating area rinks.

The program, now in its 10th season, has provided free hockey equipment to almost 10,000 local children. This session will take place from March through June.
The Little Penguins program is possible because of the help of Sidney Crosby, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, the NHL, USA Hockey, DICK'S Sporting Goods and CCM.

In addition, the Penguins are pleased to announce the launch of a "Learn to Play Dek Hockey" program for its first season. Through this one-of-a-kind initiative, approximately 800 children will receive FREE head-to-toe dek hockey equipment, courtesy of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and the NHL Industry Growth Fund.
