Lipon picks up two assists as the Blazers beat the Giants 3-1

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Bronson Maschmeyer's second period goal stood up as the winner as the Kamloops Blazers defeated the Vancouver Giants 3-1 on Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.

Austin Madaisky and Chase Schaber also scored for the Blazers (25-9-3) while J.C. Lipon picked up two assists.

Nathan Burns scored for the Giants (23-13-2).

Cole Cheveldave made 18 saves for the win as Jackson Whistle stopped 31 shots in defeat.

Kamloops failed to score on four power-play chances while Vancouver went 1-for-3.
