RALEIGH, N.C. - Elias Lindholm's second-period goal proved to be the difference in the Carolina Hurricanes' 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday.
The Hurricanes won for the second straight day, and Los Angeles remained winless on the road this season. The Kings are 0-3-2 on the road and 6-1 at home in the early stages of their Stanley Cup title defence.
Victor Rask and Chris Terry also scored for the Hurricanes.
Mike Richards and Alec Martinez had goals for Los Angeles.
Rask gave the Hurricanes a 1-0 lead with 1:34 left in the first period off a nifty pass by Chris Terry. Just 50 seconds into the middle period on the power play, Terry fired in a one-timer from the right wing to make it 2-0.
