Lightning's Kucherov leaves Game 5 of Stanley Cup final with injury @NHLdotcom

TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov has left Game 5 of the Stanley Cup final with an injury.

Kucherov tripped over Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford and crashed into the left post Saturday night.

Kucherov's right shoulder or collarbone struck the post and he immediately left the game five minutes into the first period.

Kucherov went down the tunnel ? leaving the ice in pain ? and did not return for the start of the second.

The Blackhawks scored the game's first goal a minute later when goaltender Ben Bishop collided with defenceman Victor Hedman.

Kucherov's absence forced coach Jon Cooper to jumble his lines.

For just the second time in the series the Lightning dressed 12 forwards, with Jonathan Drouin replacing Nikita Nesterov.
