NEW YORK -- Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ryan Callahan, who had an emergency appendectomy on Monday, will be in the lineup for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final against the New York Rangers on Saturday (1 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, TVA Sports).
Callahan, who missed a series-clinching Game 6 victory against the Montreal Canadiens in the second round Tuesday, practiced on Friday. He said he felt good and would see how he felt on Saturday before deciding if he would play or not.
"He will be in warm-ups," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "We will make a decision then. Pretty tough kid though so I'm pretty sure he will play."
Callahan, who played with the Rangers for seven and a half seasons, has three assists in 12 playoff games. He had 24 goals and 30 assists during the regular season.
