Bishop, a finalist for the Vezina Trophy, was injured with 7:35 remaining in the opening period. It appeared that his left leg got caught underneath him as he scrambled to get back into his crease.
A stretcher was required to take Bishop off the ice. He stopped all nine shots he faced before being replaced by Andrei Vasilevskiy, who also stepped in when Bishop was injured during last year's Stanley Cup Final. Vasilevskiy made 25 saves in the Lightning's 3-1 win.
Johnson left the ice with 36.4 seconds left in the first period. He immediately grabbed his right leg after the right knee of Penguins forward Chris Kunitz appeared to drive into his right kneecap when Kunitz hit him into the end boards behind the Lightning net. Johnson tried to get up and skate off, but only made it into the right circle before dropping to the ice again.
Play was stopped and Johnson was helped off the ice and to the locker room. He missed a little more than half of the second period before taking the ice at 11:42 during a Tampa Bay power play, and took a regular shift the rest of the night, finishing with 12:29 of ice time.
Johnson leads the Lightning with 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 11 games in the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He played in the Final last year despite a broken wrist.
