Lightning's Stamkos out for Game 2

Tampa Bay's Stralman skates, return possible against Pittsburgh

Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos will not play in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Consol Energy Center on Monday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports), but defenseman Anton Stralman could.

Stamkos and Stralman were among the 18 players to take part in an optional morning skate.

The Lightning lead the best-of-7 series 1-0.

Stamkos has not played since having surgery April 4 to remove a blood clot near his right collarbone.

Stralman, who had 34 points in 73 regular-season games, has been out since fracturing his left fibula March 25. He came off the ice with the rest of the regular players Monday but did not speak to the media.

Tampa Bay goalie Ben Bishop didn't skate Monday morning. The 2016 Vezina Trophy finalist is out day-to-day after sustaining a lower-body injury in the first period of the 3-1 win in Game 1 on Friday.
