TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning will be hosting the "2019 Bolts Chel Challenge" with qualifying matches kicking off on February 2, 2019. The final four participants will face off at AMALIE Arena on February 16, 2019 when the Lightning take on the Montreal Canadiens for a chance to take home part of a $10,000 prize purse. The Top 3 finishers will then go on to represent the Lightning at the 2019 Chel Classic, a 3v3 showcase match against the Washington Capitals in Washington, D.C.

Participants will compete in NHL 19 on PlayStation 4 with the online qualifying being a double elimination bracket moderated by Official Tournament Organizer, Smash.gg. Games will open on February 2, but also take place on February 3 if necessary. The final four participants will come to AMALIE Arena for a final showdown on February 16 while the Bolts are taking on the Canadiens and will be streamed LIVE on Twitch.tv/nhllightning. The Finals will feature live best-of-three matches with the winners taking home part of a $10,000 purse and earning the right to represent Tampa Bay at the 2019 Chel Classic.

. Participants must be 16 years of age or older and from a qualifying country to be eligible. The Capitals will hold their online tournament, the Capitals Esports Faceoff, from January 12 through February 2 with their local finals taking place on February 22.
