The Tampa Bay Lightning just got more aerodynamic, and it was all for a good cause.

Many Lightning players and staff members participated in the team's Cut for a Cure event after Saturday's game, trimming their long locks to benefit cancer research.

The event was run by the
National Pediatric Cancer Foundation
, an organization that focuses on less toxic and more targeted treatmens for pediatric cancer.

Lightning forward Brian Boyle got to take the clippers to teammate Victor Hedman.

Soon enough, it was Boyle's turn in the barber's chair, getting his dark locks trimmed by 15-year-old cancer survivor Tony Colton.
