The Tampa Bay Lightning had the opportunity to explore New York's sights and sounds during the 2015 Eastern Conference Final against the New York Rangers. This year, the Lightning decided to see Justin Bieber in concert on their day off between games of their second-round series against the New York Islanders.
Bieber performed at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Wednesday, and several of Tampa Bay's players were in attendance. Center Vladislav Namestnikov wore a T-shirt with the music star's face on it.

Center Tyler Johnson posted a picture of himself, Namestnikov, Slater Koekkoek, Ondrej Palat, Cedric Paquette and Jonathan Marchessault on

.
Bieber, a native of London, Ontario, has performed while wearing various NHL jerseys through the first two months of his "Purpose" Tour. Wayne Gretzky gave Bieber an Edmonton Oilers jersey in Las Vegas in March, and Bieber donned an Arizona Coyotes' Max Domi jersey later that month in Glendale, Ariz.
The Lightning's series against the Islanders will be on hold another day because Bieber will play Barclays Center on Thursday. There has been no word if the Islanders, in the spirit of gamesmanship, will be in attendance.
