Lightning defenseman brought trophy to Badger State for celebration

Ryan McDonagh took the Stanley Cup out for a spin on Balsam Lake, Wisconsin.

He started the day taking a helicopter with the Stanley Cup in tow.

Then on the lake, he hoisted the Cup for fellow boaters.

The St. Paul, Minnesota native played for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Badgers for three seasons after he was drafted in 2007. McDonagh has been with the Tampa Bay Lightning since 2018.
