TOR@TBL: Lightning honor Stamkos for 1,000 NHL points

Steven Stamkos was showered with gifts after spending a career making it rain points.

The Tampa Bay Lightning celebrated their captain for his 1,000th NHL point in a pregame ceremony at Amalie Arena on Saturday.
Stamkos was joined on the ice by his wife, Sandra, two young sons Carter and Chase, and his parents Chris and Leslie.
Sandra and Leslie were presented with bouquets by Lightning forwards Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov.
Teammates Alex Killorn and Victor Hedman handed Stamkos an engraved Scotty Cameron putter from the team and a large bottle of Opus wine.
He also received a Tiffany crystal from the NHL, and team chairman Jeff Vinik gave Stamkos a commemorative engraved gold stick.
The Lightning also gave mini versions of the special stick to Carter and Chase. Carter, the now-famous

, was plenty fired up to get his stick from Lightning mascot Thunderbug.
