Lightning, Bruins exchange AHL forwards @NHL
Tampa Bay and Boston exchanged minor-league forwards Thursday, with the Lightning sending Juraj Simek to the Bruins in exchange for Levi Nelson.

Simek, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound left wing, has 3 goals and 9 points in 21 games with the Norfolk Admirals. He had a career-best 21 goals and 36 points last season in Norfolk.

The 23-year-old native of Presok, Slovakia, was a 2006 sixth-round pick of the Vancouver Canucks. He was dealt to Tampa Bay on Oct. 6, 2008, along with Lukas Krajicek for Shane O'Brien and Michel Ouellet.

Nelson, a 5-11, 167-pound center, has 4 goals and 7 points in 14 games with the Providence Bruins. The 22-year-old Calgary native was a 2006 sixth-round pick by Boston -- he was taken nine spots before Simek. He had 8 goals and 13 points in 44 AHL games last season, after splitting 2008-09, his first professional season between Providence and ECHL Reading.
