TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -Mathieu Darche scored with 19.6 seconds left in overtime to lift the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 4-3 preseason victory over the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night.
Brad Richards, who had three assists, set up the winner.
Tampa Bay took a 3-2 lead when Kyle Wanvig scored on a third-period penalty shot. Dallas' Loui Eriksson tied it with a power-play goal with 1:01 left in regulation.
Marc Denis, looking to rebound from a disappointing season in which he went from being the Lightning's No. 1 goalie to not making the postseason roster, stopped 36 shots.
Andreas Karlsson and Jason Ward, who scored on the power play, had the other Lightning goals.
Stephane Robidas and Junior Lessard also had power-play goals for Dallas.
Lightning center Chris Gratton left in the first period with an abrasion on his cornea. Right wing Michel Ouellet departed during the second due to a left hamstring injury.
Gratton, who also had a black right eye with swelling, said he was struck by an accidental high stick. Gratton added that he was scheduled to have the eye examined and expected to know more about his playing status on Thursday.
Forwards Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis along with defenseman Dan Boyle, who combined for 115 goals last season, didn't play in Tampa Bay's preseason opener.
Dallas was also without a number of regulars, including goalie Marty Turco, center Mike Modano and defenseman Sergei Zubov. Modano and Zubov could make their preseason debuts Thursday at home against Colorado.
