Lieuwen shuts the door on Prince Albert as the Ice cruise to a 3-0 win @NHLdotcom

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Kootenay Ice netminder Nathan Lieuwen made 18 saves for his first career shutout in a 3-0 win over the Prince Albert Raiders in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

The Ice opened the scoring the second period as Andrew Bailey found a loose puck in the slot and fired a wrist shot over the glove of Garrett Zemlak.

Michael Cassivi scored his first WHL goal and Dustin Sylvester added an empty-netter for Kootenay (5-5-1-3).

Zemlak stopped 29 shots in a losing effort for the Raiders (6-7-0-0).
