Lethbridge scores early, then hangs on for 4-3 triumph over Brandon @NHL

BRANDON, Man. - The Lethbridge Hurricanes scored on three of their first six shots, then held on for a 4-3 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings in Western Hockey League play Friday night.

Dwight King and Mike Wuchterl scored as the Hurricanes took a 2-0 edge through one period, despite being outshot 14-4 in the first.

Dan Iwanski and Carter Bancks also scored for the Hurricanes (5-7-1-0).

Daryl Boyle, Tyler Dittmer and Andrew Clark replied for the Wheat Kings (7-3-0-0).

Michael Maniago made 27 saves for the Hurricanes, while Joe Caligiuri stopped 15 shots in the Brandon net.

The Wheat Kings went 3-for-8 on the power play, with the Hurricanes going 2-for-7 with the man advantage.
