OSHAWA, Ont. - Lucas Lessio scored twice and set up another to lead the Oshawa Generals to an 8-2 win over the visiting Belleville Bulls Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League play.

Brady Austin and Austen Brassard scored for the Bulls (29-14-6) and Scott Simmonds assisted on both of his club's goals.

Daniel Altshuller made 24 saves for his league-leading 27th win of the season as Malcolm Subban took the loss after allowing four goals on 27 shots in 35 minutes of action. Charlie Graham replaced Subban and stopped 17-of-21 shots in relief.

Austin opened the scoring for Belleville midway through the first period, but Cassels and Latour responded for the Generals less than two minutes apart to make it 2-1 Oshawa after 20 minutes of play.

Lessio, Dundas, Biggs and Laughton all scored in a span of 5:29 in the second period, driving Subban out of a game for the first time all season.

Sabourin and Lessio tacked on two more goals for the Generals early in the third period to make it 8-1 before Brassard added a late goal for the Bulls.

The Generals failed to score on either of their chances with the power play while the Bulls went 0 for 4 with the man advantage.

Oshawa has won five of seven meetings this season against Belleville and now trail the Bulls by two points for first in the East Division. The two clubs will face each other once more on Mar. 13th.
