Leland Irving makes 53 saves to lead Silvertips over Chiefs, 3-2 in shootout @NHLdotcom

EVERETT, Wash. - Leland Irving made 53 saves, leading the Everett Silvertips to a 3-2 shootout victory over the Spokane Chiefs on Friday night in WHL action.

Everett's Zach Hamill scored with one minute, 17 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime, then the Silvertips won the shootout 2-1.

Kyle Beach added a goal and an assist for Everett (33-25-0-2), which won its fourth straight.

Judd Blackwater scored both goals for Spokane (39-13-1-5), which lost its fourth straight.

Dustin Tokarski finished with 28 saves in net for the Chiefs.
