PHILADELPHIA (AP) -Peter Laviolette isn't saying for sure, but the Philadelphia Flyers coach is giving every indication that Michael Leighton will be back in goal for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals.
Leighton, who has started every game for the Flyers since replacing injured goalie Brian Boucher in Game 5 of the second-round series against Boston, was pulled on Sunday night after allowing three goals to Chicago on 13 shots in the first period.
Boucher gave up three goals on 14 shots in the final two periods of the 7-4 loss that put Philadelphia on the brink of elimination. Philadelphia trails the series 3-2 and will try to stay alive at home in Game 6 on Wednesday night.
Leighton is 6-0 at home in this year's playoffs, yielding only nine goals in those games. He has an NHL-low 2.34 goals-against average in the postseason.
