MISSISSAUGUA, Ont. - Leigh Salters' second goal of the season halfway through the third period broke a deadlock and lifted the London Knights to a 3-2 victory over the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors on Sunday in the Ontario Hockey League.

Salters, standing in front of Mississauga netminder Chris Carrozzi, converted Phil Varone's pass from behind the Majors' net with just over 10 minutes remaining in regulation time as the Knights improved to 7-2-0 on the season.

Steve Tarasuk, with his fourth goal of the season, and Jared Knight had the other London goals.

Jordan Mayer scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season with just six seconds left in the first period to pull the Majors (5-3-0) into a 1-1 tie.

Devante Smith-Pelly scored the other Mississauga goal. It came early in the third period and tied the game 2-2.

Carrozzi, who came into the game with the best goals-against average in the OHL, stopped 32 shots. Knights goalie Michael Hutchinson made 31 saves for his fourth win in six games.
