Legendary broadcaster Phillips joins NHL Hour @NHLdotcom
NEW YORK – Hall of Famer broadcaster and legendary announcer Rod Phillips, the original voice of the Edmonton Oilers, will be today’s guest on NHL Hour With Commissioner Gary Bettman on and SIRIUS XM Radio at 6 p.m. ET. 

Next Tuesday, when the Oilers take on the Los Angeles Kings, Phillips will call the final Oilers game of his 37-year career. The Oilers will dedicate the night to Rod and will recognize Rod in a special pre-game ceremony to acknowledge his contribution to hockey.
Tuesday will mark Game #3,542 for Phillips, including 2,403 NHL regular-season games, 251 NHL playoff games and five Stanley Cup championships. In 2003, Phillips received the Foster Hewitt Award and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
