Lefrancois, Lavigueur, Hoffman suspended by QMJHL for weekend hits

BOUCHERVILLE, Que. - Forwards Felix Lefrancois, Vincent Lavigueur and Mike Hoffman were suspended by the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Tuesday for hits that occurred in games over the weekend.

Lefrancois, of the Rimouski Oceanic, was suspended five games for a hit to the head during a game against the P.E.I. Rocket on Friday.

Lavigueur, of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, got two games for a boarding call during a game against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on Friday.

Hoffman, of the Drummondville Voyageurs, was given a two-game suspension for cross-checking a Baie-Comeau Drakkar player during a game on Saturday.
