Lecavalier will miss tonight's game @NHLdotcom
Tampa Bay Lightning captain Vincent Lecavalier will be sidelined for Thursday night's game against the Boston Bruins with a mid-body injury sustained Wednesday against New Jersey, according to the Lightning Strikes blog by's Damian Cristodero.

Lecavalier, who has 15 goals and 36 points in 47 games this season, said the injury occurred late in the third period on a check into the corner boards. He finished the game but won't face the Bruins and is unsure of his status for Saturday's game against the Canadiens.

"It's just something you have to treat, and sometimes it takes a little longer than other times," Lecavalier told Cristodero. "It's more of a day-to-day thing. But obviously, we're going to have to keep an eye on it and treat it. I can't say if tomorrow it's going to be good or the day after that."

Tampa Bay has recalled forwards Mattias Ritola and Blair Jones from AHL Norfolk.
