Leafs prospect Josh Leivo has hat trick as Sudbury Wolves down Generals 5-2 @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - A hat trick from Josh Leivo lifted the Sudbury Wolves to a 5-2 victory over the Oshawa Generals on Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League play.

The Toronto Maple Leafs' prospect scored midway through the second to put Sudbury up 3-1 and added his second early in the third to salt the game away.

He then rounded out the scoring with 28 seconds left, completing his hat trick into an empty net.

Ryan Hanes and Mathew Campagna also scored for the Wolves (4-5-1). Leivo now has six goals on the year for Sudbury. Defenceman Jeff Corbett added a pair of assists, both on goals by Levio.

Lucas Lessio and Emerson Clark supplied the offence for the Generals (6-5-2).

Johan Mattsson made 30 saves for the Wolves, while Dan Altshuller also stopped 30 in the Oshawa net.

Both teams scored once on three power-play opportunities.
