Leafs lose Giguere for 1-2 weeks
NHL.com @NHLdotcomThe Toronto Maple Leafs will be without goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere for at least 1-2 weeks with a minor groin strain.
The injury occurred during the third period of Tuesday's 5-4 win against the Nashville Predators. He was replaced by Jonas Gustavsson 6:50 into the third period. He stopped all six shots he faced against the Predators.
The Leafs next play Thursday at home against the Devils, and then play in Montreal on Saturday.
James Riemer, a 2006 fourth-round pick in his third professional season, was recalled from the AHL Toronto Marlies to back up Gustavsson.
