Lazo scores two quick goals to help Tri-City take down the Silvertips 4-1 @NHL

EVERETT, Wash. - Johnny Lazo scored twice in 11 seconds as the Tri-City Americans defeated the Everett Silvertips 4-1 on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.

Mitch Fadden set up both of Lazo's goals and added a late empty-netter as the Americans peppered the Everett goal with 53 shots. Only a strong performance by Silvertips goaltender Kent Simpson, who made 49 saves, kept the game close.

Taylor Procyshen also scored and Chet Pickard made 35 saves in goal for Tri-City (39-16-0-3), which maintained a four-point lead over Spokane for first place in the U.S. Division.

Ryan White scored the lone goal for Everett (24-26-7-2).
