Martin Brodeur will likely be at the Prudential Center the weekend of March 7 when the New Jersey Devils celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 1995 Stanley Cup championship, Devils president and general manager Lou Lamoriello told NHL Live on Thursday.

"I did talk to him, he will be part of that," Lamoriello said. "He will be coming back, that's what he told me. I believe he will and I respect that. Yes he did tell me."

More than 20 players from the '95 team that won the first Stanley Cup in franchise history are expected to participate in a weekend that will feature an alumni game and a special ceremony prior to the Devils' game against the Philadelphia Flyers on March 8.

Brodeur officially announced his retirement Thursday after 22 seasons in the NHL, 21 with the Devils. He played seven games with the St. Louis Blues this season and will remain with the organization as a senior adviser to general manager Doug Armstrong.
