LaCosta makes 35 saves as Syracuse down Marlies 3-1
NHL.com @NHLdotcomSYRACUSE, N.Y. - Dan LaCosta made 35 saves to backstop the Syracuse Crunch to a 3-1 victory over the Toronto Marlies on Friday in the AHL.
Maksim Mayorov scored a goal and an assist to lead the Crunch offence. Aaron Rome and Grant Clitsome also scored for Syracuse (21-19-2-2), which are on a three-game win streak.
Mark Bell scored his 12th of the year on the power play for the Marlies, whose winless streak extended to five games.
Backup Adam Munro stopped 26 of 29 for Toronto (21-17-2-5).
The Marlies lead Syracuse by three points in the North Division.
