LaBarbera to sport mask with images of TIllman @NHLdotcom

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Phoenix Coyotes goalie Jason LaBarbera has had wrestlers and bands on his masks over the years.

This season, his lid will be adorned with someone who holds a deeper meaning to him: NFL star turned war hero Pat Tillman.

LaBarbera never met Tillman before he was killed in Afghanistan in 2007, but heard plenty about him while living in the Phoenix area, where Tillman played in college and professionally.

LaBarbera's mask, created by artist David Arrigo, features images of Tillman on one side and a soldier and military aircraft on the other. LaBarbera also will donate $420 for every win this season to the Pat Tillman Foundation.
