Matt-Roy-LA-Kings-Ontario-Reign

The LA Kings have recalled defenseman Matt Roy from the Ontario Reign (AHL), Kings Vice President and General Manager Rob Blake announced today.
The 23-year-old Roy (born March 1, 1995) is a 6-0, 208-pound native of Canton, Michigan who has appeared in 44 games this season with the Reign, posting 29 points (8-21=29) and 15 penalty minutes.
Roy leads the Reign in scoring among all defensemen.

Since making his professional debut during the 2016-17 season he has appeared in 101 AHL games, recording 47 points (12-35=47) and 45 penalty minutes.
He has yet to make his NHL debut. Roy will wear No. 81. Should he appear in a game, he would become the third player in Kings history to wear this number, and first since Andrew Campbell in 2014.

The Kings continue their three-game homestand tonight for Chinese Heritage Night presented by O.R.G. Packaging against the Boston Bruins at 7:30 p.m.
