L.A. forward King out 8-10 weeks after surgery: report @NHLdotcom

Los Angeles Kings forward Dwight King will miss 8-10 weeks after having surgery on his broken foot, coach Darryl Sutter said Monday according to LA Kings Insider.

Sutter said on Oct. 5 that King would miss an extended period of time after blocking a shot in a preseason game against the Colorado Avalanche.

King had 13 goals and 26 points in 81 games last season. He is a veteran of the Kings' 2012 and 2014 Stanley Cup championship teams.
