Brodziak signs two-year contract with Blues

Forward Kyle Brodziak signed a two-year contract with the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.

Brodziak, 32, and the Blues agreed to terms Monday. Financial terms were not released, but the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported the contract has an average annual value of $950,000.

Brodziak could have become an unrestricted free agent Friday.

A seventh-round pick (No. 214) of the Edmonton Oilers at the 2003 NHL Draft, Brodziak had seven goals and 11 points in 76 regular-season games, and had two goals in 20 Stanley Cup Playoff games helping the Blues reach Game 6 of the Western Conference Final against the San Jose Sharks.

Brodziak has 105 goals and 239 points in 697 NHL games with the Oilers, Minnesota Wild and Blues.
