Kuvaev scores twice, including SO winner, as the Giants beat the Blazers 4-3 @NHL

VANCOUVER - Alex Kuvaev scored the shoot-out winner and added a regulation time goal as the Vancouver Giants beat the Kamloops Blazers 4-3 on Tuesday night in Western Hockey League action.

Jordan Martinook and Nathan Burns also scored for Vancouver (23-12-2).

Austin Madaisky and Brendan Ranford each had a goal and an assist for Kamloops (24-9-3), while Dylan Illick added a single goal.

Adam Morrison made 35 saves for the win as Cole Cheveldave stopped 32 shots in defeat.

The Giants went 0-for-1 on the power play while the Blazers scored once on four opportunities with the man advantage.

The victory was Vancouver's third in a row and moves them three points behind Kamloops for top spot in the B.C. Division.
