KINGSTON, Ont. - Ryan Kujawinski assisted on two third-period goals as the Kingston Frontenacs downed the visiting Mississauga Steelheads 3-1 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.
With the score tied 1-1, Kujawinski set up Warren Steele with the eventual winner at 5:32 and then just over two minutes later he assisted on Billy Jenkins' insurance goal.
Mikko Vainonen opened the soring at 10:27 of the first period for the Frontenacs (26-33-5), who snapped a three-game winless streak.
Dylan Smoskowitz scored in the second period for the Steelheads (25-33-7), who have dropped eight games in a row.
Mike Morrison made 19 saves for the win as Tyson Teichmann turned away 25 shots in a losing cause.
Kingston went 0 for 4 on the power play while Mississauga scored once on six chances with the man advantage.
The victory moves the Frontenacs ahead of the Steelheads for the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference. While both clubs have the same amount of points, Kingston has one more win and a game in hand.
