Kudrna has goal, two assists as Red Deer downs Warriors 4-1

RED DEER, Alta. - Andrej Kudrna scored the winning goal and set up two others as the Red Deer Rebels downed the Moose Jaw Warriors 4-1 in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Kudrna broke a 1-1 tie at 9:22 of the second period, then set up Landon Ferraro at 19:07. He earlier assisted on Josh Cowan's ninth of the season that opened the scoring for Red Deer (13-13-0) at 5:58 of the second.

Ryan Hugent-Hopkins scored the Rebels fourth goal in the third period while Quinton Howden connected for the Warriors (15-10-2).

The Rebels finished with 34 shots on Moose Jaw netminder Jeff Bosch while Darcy Kuemper made 21 saves in the Red Deer goal.
