Kristians Pelss scores late winner as Oil Kings beat Broncos 2-1 @NHLdotcom

EDMONTON - Kristians Pelss scored with less than three minutes left to lift the Edmonton Oil Kings past the Swift Current Broncos 2-1 in Western Hockey League play Saturday.

Michael St. Croix gave Edmonton (43-15-7) the lead at 3:37 in the second period.

It was short lived though, with Richard Nedomlel's power-play goal for the Broncos (24-35-8) less than two minutes later tying the game at one.

Oil Kings goaltender Tristan Jarry made 18 saves for the win, while Jon Groenheyde stopped 32 shots for Swift Current.
